With spring just around the corner, the NSW RFS Sussex Inlet Brigade is teaming up with Fire and Rescue NSW and NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service to boost fire safety measures in Shoalhaven. Together, they're intensifying efforts to minimize fire risks and increase community preparedness.
Save the dates - September 16-17 - for the 'Get Ready Weekend,' a chance for locals to learn about fire safety, prevention, and emergency planning. Highlighting this weekend is the 2023 Open Day on September 16, featuring demonstrations, a BBQ, and kids' activities - all part of the 'Get Ready Weekend.'
On September 15, the Sussex Inlet community is showing appreciation for RFS volunteers by wearing yellow, recognizing their dedication to keeping everyone safe.
Additionally, don't miss out on the brigade's presence at the markets every 2nd Saturday of each month. Bring the kids down and jump on the truck, have a chat about the upcoming season, and gather some useful information.
